How do I reach Turmhotel Gschwendt by car?
If you are arriving from the north or south via the A22 Brenner motorway, take the Bressanone/Varna/Val Pusteria exit. Then continue on the SS49 Puster Valley road towards Dobbiaco.
Drive past Brunico and continue to Monguelfo. From there, turn into Val Casies/Valle di Casies and follow the road to Colle di Fuori/Außerpichl.
Turmhotel Gschwendt is located on the edge of the village, directly next to the church. The church tower is clearly visible from the road.
Arrival via Cortina d’Ampezzo
If you are arriving from the direction of Cortina d’Ampezzo, follow the main road to Dobbiaco. From there, take the SS49 Puster Valley road and continue to Monguelfo.
From Monguelfo, the road leads into Val Casies/Valle di Casies. Follow the valley road to Colle di Fuori/Außerpichl. Our hotel is located directly next to the church on the edge of the village.
Arrival from East Tyrol and Austria
If you are arriving from East Tyrol or eastern Austria, you can reach Turmhotel Gschwendt via the SS49 Puster Valley road to Monguelfo.
From there, turn into Val Casies and follow the road to Colle di Fuori/Außerpichl. The hotel is located on the left-hand side of the main road, directly next to the church.

Arrival by train and bus
Val Casies can also be reached by public transport. The easiest way is to travel by train to Monguelfo/Welsberg.
From there, the public bus continues to Colle di Fuori/Außerpichl. The bus stop is about 500 metres from Turmhotel Gschwendt.
By prior arrangement, we are also happy to pick you up at Monguelfo/Welsberg railway station and make your arrival in Val Casies easier.
