Rooms & Facilities

There are three room categories: Waldluftzimmer, Sonnblickzimmer and Turmzimmer. The rooms are bright, quiet and furnished in traditional Tyrolean style.

All rooms are non-smoking rooms in the main building and are designed for 1 to 2 people. Facilities include a balcony or terrace, shower/WC or bathroom, Wi-Fi, TV and hairdryer. For the sake of the environment, we do without daily room cleaning and daily towel changes – both can be booked on request.

Yes, connecting rooms are available in selected room categories. Depending on the category, an extra bed or a baby cot may also be possible.

Breakfast & Dining

Yes, a regional breakfast buffet awaits you from 7:30 to 10:00 am. It includes bread, cold cuts, yoghurt, milk, muesli, jams, honey, butter, homemade cakes, fruit and freshly squeezed juices.

Yes, from 6:30 to 7:30 pm chef Martin serves a freshly prepared 4-course menu with South Tyrolean and Italian dishes. Dinner can be added when booking or spontaneously at the hotel – at a particularly good price. The kitchen is closed on Tuesdays.

Yes, the hotel preferably uses products from local producers. When small suppliers are unable to provide all required quantities, carefully selected products are added.

Summer & Winter

In summer in Val Casies, the valley is ideal for hiking, walking, cycling, mountain biking, mountaineering and excursions.

Yes, you can start hikes directly from Turmhotel Gschwendt. At reception, you will receive tips and map material for your tours.

In winter in Val Casies, the valley offers cross-country skiing, winter hiking, tobogganing, snowshoe hiking and ski touring. Plan de Corones is also reachable from the hotel.

Wellness, included services & sustainability

Yes. As a guest at Turmhotel Gschwendt, you can use the indoor pool and sauna at the Blaslahof – the family’s partner farm just 6 km from the hotel – free of charge. Wellness treatments, massages, a hay bath and whey and herbal baths are also available there on request.

For the sake of the environment, we do without daily room cleaning and daily towel changes. Both can be booked on request.

On the day of arrival, your room is available from 4 pm. On the day of departure, we kindly ask you to vacate the room by 10 am.

Arrival & Mobility

By train, travel to Monguelfo/Welsberg. From there, the public bus continues to Colle di Fuori/Außerpichl; the bus stop is about 500 metres from the hotel.

Yes, you receive your Guest Pass at check-in for the duration of your stay. It allows you to use public transport in South Tyrol free of charge, including regional trains.
