In the Alpine Zoo of Assling in the Val Pusteria children and adults can discover and learn a lot about many different animals living in the Alpine area.
On a surface of about 80,000 square metres the Alpine Zoo in Assling counts more than 100 different Alpine animal species like marmots, raccoons, lynxes, wild pigs, martens, eagles, capricorns, roe deer, chamois, ducks, snakes and fish.
Some animals may even be fed and petted at the petting zoo. Visiting the Alpine Zoo in Assling is not only very exciting but also very informative. On the forest theme path, for example, children can learn a lot about the protective function of the forest in a playful manner. In summer, a lot of fun and action is guaranteed at the Fun bob. Moreover, there is a big adventure playing ground, where children can have a lot of fun while their moms and dads explore the farmer’s shop.
