Cross-Country Skiing in Val Casies in the Holiday Region Plan de Corones

40 km of perfectly groomed cross-country tracks lead through the vast Val Casies and through a quiet winter landscape. Iced plants, glittering snow crystals and the sparkling sun enchant all visitors during the winter months. The guesthouses and inns along the route look after your physical wellbeing and serve hot apple juice and cake. If you are really hungry you should try a typical South Tyrolean afternoon snack with local sausages, cold meat slices and cheese.
The Dumpling Marathon provides a special highlight during winter: In the guesthouses along the route guests can taste all variations of dumplings.

When the snow conditions are good you can get to Tesido and Monguelfo with your skis on. There you will find another 200 km of cross-country tracks leading to Alta Pusteria and right into the Dolomites.

The highlight of the ski season in Val Casies is the biggest public cross-country ski race in South Tyrol, the "Val Casies Run". Every year thousands of cross-country skiers take the challenge and don't want to miss this unique event in a very special valley.
