How to get to our 3 star hotel in Gsies

The Hotel Gschwendt is located at the entrance to the Gsies, a side valley of the Puster valley. Nestled between lush green meadows and dense forests, the hotel guarantees a pleasant and relaxing stay.

Getting to the hotel:

By car

From the A22 Brennero motorway (whether travelling north or south), take the Bressanone/Varna/Val Pusteria exit. Take the Val Pusteria trunk road (SS49) going towards Dobbiaco and, once you pass Brunico, continue on as far as Monguelfo. From here, follow the signs for Valle di Casies and continue on until you reach Colle di Fuori. The team at the Hotel Torre Gschwendt, located right next to the church at the entrance to the village, will be waiting for you.

Coming from the south, on Via Cortina d'Ampezzo, follow the trunk road as far as Dobbiaco and then take the Val Pusteria trunk road (SS49) as far as Monguelfo. From here, follow the signs for Valle di Casies and continue on until you reach Colle di Fuori. Our hotel is next to the church, at the entrance to the village.

Coming from the east, from Austria, take the Val Pusteria trunk road (SS49) as far as Monguelfo and then follow the signs for Valle di Casies and continue on until you reach Colle di Fuori. The hotel is next to the church on the left side of the main road, from where you can see the tower.

By public transport: train or bus

It is possible to get to Val di Casies using public transport. We recommend taking the train to Monguelfo and then taking the local bus to Colle di Fuori (the bus stop is 500m from the hotel). To make your journey easier, we can also pick you up at Monguelfo station.

By plane

Using one of the various airline companies available, you can fly to either Innsbruck (A), Monaco (D), Bolzano (I), Treviso (I) or Venice (I), where you can then get a shuttle service directly to South Tyrol. We are happy to provide you with information on the best transport links.

If you don't have your own car, we recommend hiring one in order to travel with ease around the area.
